SENMA MOTOR Explosion-Proof Motors Achieve ATEX and IECEx Certification

Wuxi, August 2024 — SENMA MOTOR's Explosion-Proof Motor Series has successfully obtained ATEX and IECEx certifications, enabling the products to be used in hazardous areas throughout Europe and internationally.

The certification covers motors designed for use in explosive atmospheres containing gases, vapors, and dusts, with protection levels including: - Ex d IIB T4 (gas atmospheres) - Ex tD A21 IP66 (dust atmospheres) - Temperature classes T1 through T4

The certification process involved rigorous testing by an accredited international certification body, including type testing, quality system assessment, and ongoing production surveillance.

"ATEX and IECEx certifications are essential for serving the oil & gas, chemical, and mining industries globally," the company explained. "These certifications demonstrate that our explosion-proof motors meet the highest international safety standards."

The certified explosion-proof motors are available in power ranges from 0.55kW to 315kW, with various mounting configurations and voltage options. They are suitable for applications including pump drives, fan systems, conveyor drives, and compressor applications in hazardous areas.
